When guests are staying in our home, most of us do what we can do to accommodate special requests. Still, despite our best intentions, we might fail at our mission to deliver whatever was asked for. One Texas mother ran into that problem, after the exchange student living with her wanted something specific for dinner. More than willing to appease him, she took him to Walgreens for chicken pot pie. His reaction was so funny, she decided to share it online. You can watch the full video here.
Muahdp is hosting an exchange student, Alessandro Salimei, in her Texas home. When he asked to have chicken pot pie, she took him to the local Walgreens in order to buy it for him. Yet when Alessandro saw the product in the frozen section, he was more than a little confused. He claimed he would never eat the meal his host mom pointed out.
When Muahdp asked him on camera to explain what he wanted, he clarified what he desired to eat:
No, I wanted Popeyes Louisiana… Chicken. Popeyes. Not pot pie. I want fat things, not the healthy.
Muahdp assured him that pot pie was also unhealthy. She then suggested getting pizza, as Popeyes chicken wasn’t somewhere close to their Texas location.
“Oh my god, this is embarrassing at this point,” she told the camera, laughing.
While Alessandro also seemed the incident was funny, he still looked disappointed that he wouldn’t be getting any Popeyes chicken. Luckily, just a day later, his fast food wish came through.
Texas Popeyes Chicken Trip Lets TikTokers Down
In a follow-up video, Muahdp posted the family’s rodeo outing. As it just so happened, there was a Popeyes nearby. She made sure to capture the moment Alessandro got his food. His excitement was palpable. Sadly, viewers were not quite as pleased.
Many at home had invested their time in the Texas Popeyes story. When all Muahdp ordered for Alessandro to try was three chicken tenders, the comments erupted in anger. “He pretty much begged for Popeyes and you got him a 3pc?” one person complained.
Most other comments said similar things. They wanted Alessandro to try so much more of the menu, and order for himself. The internet has spoken, and requested a do-over trip. Will Alessandro get to try more of the Popeyes menu before he leaves his Texas family and heads back home to Italy? We’ll have to wait and see.
