When a Texas employee made a threatening comment to a child at a local Dollar General, a father intervened. He refused to stay silent and tackled the issue head-on. This father showed that you go to the ends of the earth to protect your child, no matter what.
Lorena (@lorena8_33) says her husband was at a Hutto, Texas Dollar General with their 4-year-old child. In the video, the father angrily confronts the male employee working at the front of the store. Apparently, the employee threatened his 4-year-old child when he asked for the key to use the in-store bathroom. The employee allegedly told the child that he was going to “kick” him.
You can hear this father angrily confront the employee about what he said, asking him if he actually said it. The employee goes completely silent at first. When the father asks the employee again whether he said that to his son, the employee raises his hands and says, “No!” The father then tells him he’ll “beat” him up for saying something like that to his son. He asks whether the employee understands, to which the employee says, “Yeah, I understand that.”
The father continues to berate and call out the employee. He gives him a piece of advice: “Correct your tone whenever you have customers in here that just need to use the restroom, especially a 4-year-old kid.” He asks the employee, “Are we on the same page?” The employee nods his head and says, “Yeah.”
This father says that he has eight kids and will stand up for any one of them. He tells the employee, “I don’t care how frustrating your day is, whatever is going on. That’s not okay.” He tells the employee to never, ever speak to any child that way again. The employee nods and says, “I will not” while hanging his head. The father then completes his purchase with the employee.
The video immediately sparked reactions from TikTokers, with many siding with the father. One commenter said they believe that the employee actually said this because “the silence confirmed it for me.” Another stated, “I’m crying. Why is he agreeing with you?”
Other commenters wondered if the child said or did something to get that reaction from the employee. One asked, “What did the kid say, though?” Another commenter replied, “Doesn’t matter. The cashier is a grown adult who should handle himself as one. The parents can correct that, or don’t.” Many people were left feeling shocked and appalled by the employee’s behavior.
