A Texas woman is speaking out after she alleges she experienced something gross at a hotel. She claims that the hotel she was staying in with her daughter had bedbugs. This TikToker wasn’t about to stay there. But bringing it up led to a denial she was never expecting!
Tanya (@tanyarenee3) was staying at a Baymont hotel so she could be there for her daughter’s college graduation. The second night staying there, her daughter ran out of the bedroom saying there were “bed bugs in here!” Tanya and her family left the hotel to stay in another area.
Tanya spoke with an employee at Baymont named Ramona, who said the manager will have to offer Tanya and her family a refund for their experience. They directed her to Expedia so that the refund could be processed for them. Tanya expected that everything was working out and they enjoyed their time during her daughter’s graduation ceremonies.
When Tanya returned to the Baymont to get some of her things, Ramona allegedly asked her to send an email to the manager with a picture of the bedbugs. Tanya said that wasn’t a problem and sent the email to the manager. A few minutes later, she got an email back from Ramona herself. The email stated: “Good afternoon. I’m sorry to inform you but, this is not from our hotel.” This shocked Tanya!
Tanya says, “I don’t have any reason to lie. This is your hotel. Don’t play with me.” Now, she’s warning her TikTok audience that this hotel does have bedbugs and she claims they’ll lie about it.
The video immediately sparked reactions from concerned viewers. One commenter stated, “The fact that you’re so calm about it, too! They’re in for a rude awakening if they think you’re about to take time out of your life to lie. Crazy people.” Another simply stated: “The AUDACITY of that manager!”
Other commenters, however, stated that Tanya should have expected this level of care. One commented, “All Wyndham hotels have bed bugs! Do better and you won’t have to worry about this kinda publicity!” Another asked, “So what happened after she tried to play?” Tanya replied that Ramona never emailed her back. She commented, “She had nothing to stand on. And I got my money back!” The video continues to bring in comments and reactions as it gains popularity.
