A woman in Frisco, Texas, was terrified as she filmed one of her neighbors attempting to break into her apartment. After unsuccessful bodyslams, the police eventually arrived and placed him under arrest. However, he has since been released and is back on the property.
A series of clips showing the attempted break-in and its ramifications was shared on TikTok by Taylor Renee. The woman often shared a variety of content on the platform, including travel, fashion, and lifestyle. However, the clip above, given its nature, went viral. It garnered 1.1 million views, 70,800 likes, and close to 900 comments, becoming her biggest yet.
The 11-second clip showed the Texas woman recording the incident through the peephole in her door at Skyhouse Frisco Station. There, a mumbling man can be seen against the door, attempting to force it open with the handle. At one moment, the man is seen bodyslamming the door, to the woman’s shock. He would do so again before the video abruptly stopped.
Aggressive Knocking Turns Break-In Attempt
In a follow-up clip, Taylor explained that, at the time, she was cleaning her apartment with her boyfriend and dog inside. Out of nowhere, her boyfriend heard someone knocking on the door, but she didn’t see anyone through the peephole. Then confirmed by a neighbor’s footage of the event.
The woman would explain that the man apparently believed his wife was inside Taylor’s apartment, for whatever reason. According to a friend of hers, the man was also mumbling, “Hail Satan, worship the demon,” while slamming against the door.
Eventually, the police were called, and the man, who was possibly on drugs, according to her, was taken into custody. A responding officer, as shown in another follow-up, had to breach the door as it had been damaged. Taylor, meanwhile, expressed disappointment at the lack of solutions from her leasing team, who offered her the option to break her lease.
Then, in her most recent update, the woman shared that the man had been released and was back in the apartment complex. She has chosen to remain elsewhere for her safety, and in response to a comment, Taylor said, “I will be moving immediately.“
Texas Reacts
The footage from the Texas woman sparked multiple responses, with many urging Taylor to take the necessary safety measures. One said, “Y’all not Texas enough for me.” Another one commented, “Apartments scare me for this reason! So glad they responded quickly.”
Others, meanwhile, reported experiencing similar incidents at, apparently, the same apartment complex. One wrote, “This happened to me when I lived at Skyhouse Frisco Station.” Another one added, “I moved away from that place in Feb. Safety was a big issue.”
By the looks of it, until the neighbor issue is resolved, Taylor will not be back at her apartment anytime soon.
