At Sony’s State of Play event last week, we saw the first trailer from The Callisto Protocol, which piqued fans of horror titles. And today, a full gameplay video was revealed at the Summer Game Fest 2022.

The buzz about the Callisto Protocol has not subsided since it premiered at State of Play last week. Unsurprisingly, it created a new discussion among PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X players. Krafton’s Dead Space-style sci-fi shooter game looks like it’s going to have some really scary moments.

The Callisto Protocol Looks Great

At Summer Game Fest, we saw two pieces of The Callisto Protocol that show the very beginning of the game. The main character Jacob Lee had to deal with opponents. Collision detection works great here because our hero can tear off the arms or legs of the beasts pressing on him. In addition to firearms, he also uses melee attacks and a special gravity tool that we can use to send the monster into a spinning fan.

It’s not surprising that Callisto Protocol is similar to Dead Space because it’s being developed by Striking Distance Studios, led by Dead Space creator Glen Schofield. In an uncut show, we can see the main character Jacob Lee walking through dark corridors and then also fighting enemies called “Biphage.”

The Callisto Protocol was one of the most notable titles of Summer Game Fest 2022. The game by Glen Schofield, the creator of Dead Space, has taken advantage of the event to show his first gameplay trailer.

The Callisto Protocol will be released on December 2 this year on the PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X | S. New sci-fi game pre-order is now available on the PS Store with prices starting at $59.99. It should also be noted that it has Day One Edition and Digital Deluxe Edition at different prices.
