The Church of England Intervenes in Royal Feud Between Harry and William: ‘It Works Both Ways’

The royal feud runs even deeper than it appears, necessitating counsel from The Church of England. Prince Harry’s ongoing rift with his dad King Charles and brother Prince William has left the future of the royal family shrouded in mysteries. Speculations about happenings within the family run wild, and the “no comment” policy does little to put a cap on it all. With things continuing on a constant downward spiral, the church reportedly made an attempt to fix things at some point, offering the ultimate suggestion.

Journalist, Nigel Nelson spoke to GB News about the royal family feud, disclosing the church’s stance. According to him, while King Charles’ fate encouraged forgiveness, Prince Harry had a duty to meet him halfway before the virtue could come into play. He added,

“King Charles is very devout. He has been all his life, like his mother. The advice from the Church of England, for instance, is big on forgiveness. ‘Forgive Harry, just bring him back into the fold.’ But Harry also has to get his act together, so it works both ways.”

The journalist also offered his personal input, noting that indeed, the rift sounded like “a very difficult one to mend.” Regardless, if there was a chance it could be mendable, he believed there was no one better to lead the peace talks between his sons than King Charles. Before that could happen, Prince Harry needed to take responsibility to some extent. Nigel said,

“For a reconciliation to happen, Harry needs to demonstrate that he’s ready to be part of the family again.”

The Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby has previously shared his take on the royal feud between Prince Harry and his dad and brother. In an interview with Good Morning Britain, the senior Bishop of The Church of England urged the public to not judge the royals, as they were humans like everyone else. Rather than cast stones at either Prince Harry or his folks King Charles and Prince William, the archbishop encouraged people to pray for them.

On their part, the British royals have continued to uphold their faith even in the face of the overblown feud and multiple health woes. The family was recently spotted out attending church service at The Church of Scotland’s Crathie Kirk parish while on their Summer vacation in Balmoral. The outing, which marks one of Kate Middleton’s rare sightings since announcing her cancer diagnosis, further highlighted just how deep the royal rift runs, with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle missing from the fold.
