Tom Holland and Amanda Seyfried face off in a brand new first look at The Crowded Room on Apple TV+. The new limited series will feature a post-Spider-Man Tom Holland as a ragged, troubled man who’s arrested for murder after a shooting in 1979 New York. Amanda Seyfriend will appear opposite Holland – literally – as the interrogator tasked with getting to the truth in the center of Holland’s psyche in what looks like a tense, daring film.
Two years after the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home and Tom Holland’s last appearance as Peter Parker, Holland has boarded The Crowded Room not only as troubled lead and suspected murderer Danny Sullivan but also as an executive producer for the ten-part Apple TV+ series, along with series creator and producer Akiva Goldsman (A Beautiful Mind). Amanda Seyfried stars as Rya Goodwin, who PEOPLE Magazine describes as “a curious investigator” who’s tasked with figuring out whether or not Sullivan is truly responsible for the shooting he was arrested for.
Apple TV+ Releases First Look Photos for ‘The Crowded Room’
In the new first-look photos for The Crowded Room released by Apple TV+, Tom Holland, 26, appears as a pale, shaggy-haired man in a wide divergence from the well-groomed schoolboy look he took as Peter Parker. Holland’s Danny Sullivan appears across a long, bare table from Seyfried’s Rya Goodwin, dressed in a smart blazer and a tight bun. Also featured in the photos is Emmy Rossum as Candy, seen driving a convertible car alongside a young boy, possibly a younger version of Tom Holland’s character, though nothing has been confirmed yet.
Along with Tom Holland, Amanda Seyfriend, and Emmy Rossum, The Crowded Room will also star Sasha Lane, Will Chase, Lior Raz, Seyfried’s real-life husband Thomas Sadoski, Jason Isaacs, Christopher Abbott, and Zachary Golinger. The first three episodes of the ten-episode series will be released to Apple TV+ on June 9th, 2023.
