The Dark Souls trilogy is one of the most iconic video game series of all time, and its official compendium should be suitably epic, and it was. Back in 2019, Future Press released an official compendium of the FromSoftware trilogy, and it flew off the shelves faster than stores could restock. Copies of the original compendium are going for over $100 dollars online, but don’t break your piggy bank just yet because Future Press has just released a re-print of the Dark Souls compendium for its 25th Anniversary and it’s available for pre-order now.

The Dark Souls Trilogy Compendium is back! A special 25th Anniversary Limited Edition reprint will be released in February 2024. The book is initially available exclusively at https://t.co/IbtMHSq7he, and pre-orders are open now. (1/2) pic.twitter.com/AvMoTznuRl

Future Press has put the 25th Anniversary edition of the Dark Souls compendium up for pre-order now. There’s some confusion over that date since the first Dark Souls game was released in 2011, making it 13 years old. FromSoftware is 38 years old, on the other hand, but Future Press is celebrating its 25th Anniversary with a re-print of the Dark Souls compendium from five years ago.

The Dark Souls games are notorious for having profound, tangled lore, so if you’re looking for a way to put all of it in one place, the Dark Souls compendium is for you. The compendium includes breakdowns of all the enemies, items, equipment, and locations in the trilogy, along with all the NPC dialogue in the guide that’s color-coded based on Dark Souls 1, 2, and 3. There’s also a story guide, a World Guide, and four bonus art prints to frame and hang up in your home. The 25th Anniversary Re-Print doesn’t seem to have changed the contents of the compendium much. Still, it has added some 25th Anniversary branding to the book and made minor modifications to the slipcase and cover.
