If you weren’t lucky enough to take part in the closed beta for The Division then here comes your chance to jump into this online open world third-person shooter role-playing game (that’s a mouthful). Players will be able to explore devastated New York city streets as you try to survive, test out the game’s systems, and provide feedback to ensure a hopefully less  broken game.

The Division open beta will be available from February 19-21 on Ps4, Xbox One, and PC. You can start pre-loading the beta starting February 16 for all systems, but only the Xbox One will be receiving an extra 24-hour head start to the beta.

Even if you were already part of the closed beta you might still want to take the time to play through the open beta since open beta will not only include an extra story mission but will also offer exclusive in-game rewards to those that participate.

With the game less than a month away can we expect Ubisoft to deal with the problems players will most likely run into while playing the beta or are we all so used to Ubisoft coming out with half finished games that we’re willing to give them a pass as long as they fix the problems at some point? Maybe we wont have to worry about that with The Division; it’s been in development long enough that most of the problems encountered in the open beta at this point should be a minor inconvenience at worst.

Will you rush out to pick up your copy of The Division or will you wait to see if any bugs crawl out of the cracks in The Division’s New York City streets?

The Division is set for a March 8 release for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Luis is a generally great person to be around with unfortunately with his sense of humor you never know when he's being serious. He plays enough video games to consider himself more than a novice and possibly watches too much tv.
