Netflix has officially released the first teaser trailer for The Dragon Prince season 4, titled Mystery of Aaravos. The first trailer announcing the new season was released back in June of this year, and the new season is set to release sometime in November. The official release date has yet to be confirmed.
What to Expect from The Dragon Prince: The Mystery of Aaravos
The Dragon Prince: Mysteries of Aaravos will officially premiere in November 2022 as the fourth season of the popular Netfxi animated series, created by Avatar: The Last Airbender head writer Aaron Ehasz and Uncharted series writer Justin Richmond.
The new teaser trailer for The Dragon Prince season 4 gave a better glimpse into the course of the next season. The official The Dragon Prince YouTube Channel has periodically been releasing clips of the new season since it was announced back in June, each one giving another look at what fans can expect going into the season.
According to the clips and this new trailer, season 4 will pick up 2 years from where the previous season left off and will follow fan-favorite characters like Callum, Ezran, Claudia, Soren, and General Amaya in new roles. However, the mysterious character, Aaravos, will have a much greater presence in this season than before and present a greater challenge to the heroes.
The official description reads:
Many questions remain unanswered following The Battle of the Storm Spire, but only one continues to haunt the very heart of Xadia: Who is Aaravos?
After more than a millennium of careful planning, moving, and manipulating generations of humans and elves like pieces on some cosmic chess board, the machinations of the Midnight Star known as Aaravos are finally coming to bear. But where did this enigmatic Startouch elf come from? What does he want? And what price will our heroes have to pay to stop him?
Interestingly, the Moonshadow Elf character Rayla seems to be missing from the trailers and clips so far, but that is most likely due to the events of the official The Dragon Prince graphic novel Through The Moon.
More information on the release date and plot for The Dragon Prince: Mystery of Aaravos is expected to come during the series’ official New York Comic-Con 2022 panel on October 8 at 3:00 p.m. ET/12:00 p.m. PT.
