It’s no surprise that a looter shooter game is filled with dozens of unique weapons. Nevertheless, on some rare occasions, common drops can completely outshine the special, crafting-exclusive Ultimate Weapons. That weapon is the Tamer Machine Gun, which given proper build, can dish out up to 500,000 DPS! Sounds intriguing, right? Here are some important points you need to follow to make the best Tamer build in The First Descendant.
The Best Tamer Machine Gun Builds in The First Descendant
Best F2P Build
Free-to-players will have a bit of trouble maximizing Tamer’s potential because Prestiging isn’t cheap. Basically, you’ll want to focus on Weak Point Damage, Firearm ATK, and Fire Rate first. Make sure it also has reached Level 100 so the stats won’t be outdated when upgraded with Level Transmission. The Modules we recommend using are:
- Rifling Reinforcement.
- Weak Point Sight.
- Insight Focus.
- Weak Point Detection.
- Better Insight.
- Better Concentration.
- Sharpshooter.
- Target Detection.
- Anti-Matter Round.
We recommend leveling up Rifling Reinforcement and Better Concentration to their max levels. Afterward, you can slot in whatever Modules you prefer for your personalized The First Descendant Tamer build. Of course, if you can spare Prestige and Energy Activators, then you’ll have more leeways for the Mods.
Best Optimal The First Descendant Tamer Build
Once you’ve unlocked more slots, then you can add Rounds per Magazine and Critical Hit Modules. Critical Hit, while essential for DPS, is less important because of how low the stat is on the weapon in the first place. You’ll need to pump a lot of upgrades in that regard to make it much more competitive through extra Module Capacity.
These are some Modules that we recommend using for the best Tamer The First Descendant build:
- Fatal Critical.
- Pinpoint Shot.
- Fire Rate Up.
- Rapid Fire Insight.
- Concentrate Support Ammo.
- Expand Weapon Charge.
- Expand General Magazine.
Meanwhile, we suggest rolling these stats on Weapon Readjustment for your Tamer The First Descendant build:
- Firearm ATK
- Weak Point Damage
- Firearm Critical Hit Rate
- Firearm Critical Hit Damage
- Bonus Firearm ATK (vs. Colossus)
You don’t have to aim for an elemental damage bonus as we’ll need to pump as much raw damage as possible. Still, that doesn’t mean you can’t make a Toxic, Chill, etc Tamer build in The First Descendant; it’ll just take much more resources. If you want to build Tamer for mobs, Elites, or Named Bosses, then you can replace vs. Colossus with:
- Bonus Firearm ATK (vs. Legion of Darkness).
- Bonus Firearm ATK (vs. Legion of Immortality).
- Bonus Firearm ATK (vs. Order of Truth).
- Rounds per Magazine.
Where to Find Tamer in The First Descendant
Before you can start making the The First Descendant build, you must find the Tamer first. It can be reliably farmed in two different locations or missions:
- “Abandoned Reconstruction Site” mission in The Remnant, Agna Desert.
- Void Fragment Void Mission in Miragestone, Agna Desert.
- “Order’s Occupied Facility” mission in Observatory, White-night Gulch.
- Void Fusion Reactor Void Mission in Mountaintops, White-Night Gulch.
Both story missions listed the drop rate as 50% on Normal but we feel the Observatory one has a better loot chance. On Hard though, just keep running Abandoned Reconstruction Site as it’s the easiest of the bunch and guarantee one with every clear. That’s pretty much what you need to make the best Tamer builds in The First Descendant. Now you should be able to farm Shape Stabilizers and other items peacefully!
