It’s not a stretch to say that Baby Yoda is the cutest thing Star Wars has produced in years. The cutest thing since the Ewoks, at the very least. To this end, it’s not surprising that Baby Yoda – or Grogu, as he’s officially named – is one of the most marketable Star Wars characters of all time. He’s appeared on everything from slippers, to clothing, to bobble heads and plushies. LEGO has jumped on this bandwagon as well, releasing “The Child” building set back in 2020. If you’re interested in building a Baby Yoda of your own, then you’re in luck, as the LEGO set is now half-off in honor of Black Friday.
The Official Baby Yoda LEGO Set Goes on Sale for Black Friday
LEGO’s official Baby Yoda set first hit store shelves in 2020 as the latest addition to the LEGO Star Wars collection, specifically part of their The Mandalorian line. The building set contains an impressive 1073 pieces and the completed model measures 7.5 inches tall by 8.5 inches wide by 5 inches deep. The completed model, which has a poseable head, ears, and mouth, shows Baby Yoda dressed in his usual brown robes and holding a silver ball. Aside from the model, the LEGO set also comes with a minifigure and an information plaque on Baby Yoda, aka The Child.
Normally, the LEGO Baby Yoda set sells for $89.99, but a special Black Friday deal means it’s marked down by 50%. The Baby Yoda set is now $45 at Amazon and Walmart, just in time to buy it for yourself or as a holiday gift. Some of LEGO’s other Star Wars sets are also on sale for Black Friday, including BD-1, Cal Kestis’s droid companion from Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and its sequel, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. While it’s not marked down as much as LEGO Baby Yoda, it’s still an impressive deal that you can find here.
