The latest LEGO video game has been announced and it will be based on one of LEGO’s own properties.  As a tie-in with the upcoming movie of the same name The LEGO Ninjago Movie Video Game is a bit of a mouthful.  Once again TT Games will be developing the title and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment publishing.

The LEGO Ninjago Movie Video Game players will be able to play as Kai, Cole, Zane, Jay, Nya, Lloyd and Master Wu, the core good guys from the Ninjago universe.  The game will focus on their fight against the evil Lord Garmadon and the Shark Army that he has at his beckon call. There will be new abilities never before seen in a LEGO game thanks to Ninjagility.  Ninjagility gives the heroes the ability to wall run and high jump. It is also core to the ninja’s combat technics which can be upgraded throughout the game.  More familiar to those that know the Ninjago universe is that players will also be able to utilize their special Spinjitzu fighting style.

Following the story of The LEGO Ninjago Movie, there will be eight large locations inspired straight from the film. Each level will have its own special Dojo with unique challenges for gamers to pass through the timeless art of battle. “The LEGO Ninjago Movie Video Game brings the non-stop action and thrilling combat of the film into the living room so kids can embark on their own Ninjago adventures,” said Tom Stone, Managing Director, TT Games. “Enhanced movements will help players traverse Ninjago with the fluidity and grace of a secret ninja warrior and improve their combat skills.”

The LEGO Ninjago Movie Video Game releases September 22, 2017, the same day as the release of the movie. It will be available on SP4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
