If you ever wanted a cosplay build, here’s one of the most functional ones. Turns out those Crucible Knights are solid Paladins, but their Incantation set revolves around metamorphosis. So you’re going to be interspersing the Aspects of the Crucible spells with your physical weapon attacks.

They might pale in comparison to Sorcereries or Lightning and buff-based Incantations, but they’re still no doubt fun to use. You can even catch a lot of opponents off-guard with Rotten Breath in PvP. And the plethora of fire, ice, and Scarlet Rot breaths can make you versatile against many enemies.
In PvE, you will have to rely more on Eochaid’s Dancing Blade as your more reliable source of straightforward damage as the Dragon Breaths consume a lot of FP. That’s also why we included the Cerulean Hidden Tear in the Flask, so you can have eight or so seconds of Dragon Breaths before your unlimited FP runs out.
Blasphemous Paladin
Starting Class | -Confessor -Vagabond |
Weapon(s) | -Blasphemous Blade -Erdtree Seal |

Stat Priority | -Faith (60/80) -Vigor (prioritize 50/60) -Mind (as needed for Weapon Skill) -Endurance (as needed for medium weight) |
It’s a Faith build, mostly, and you’ll be spamming the Blasphemous Blade’s Taker’s Flames Weapon Skill, hence the name of the build. You might find other names for this, but the idea remains the same, to take advantage of Taker’s Flames. It’s overpowered in a fun way and thus, a perfect solution for newbies that want some kind of easy mode.
Taker’s Flames not only deals stellar damage but it will also heal you with each hit, letting you maintain Ritual Sword Talisman’s full HP buff. It also deals good Poise damage, great for bosses. For even more damage, make sure to cast Golden Vow and Flame, Grant Me Strength before spamming your foe to kingdom come. If anything, this build is fun since you still get to roleplay as a Paladin despite being overpowered.
Pyramid Head Build

Stat Priority | -Dexterity (60/80) -Vigor (prioritize 50/60) -Mind (as needed for Weapon Skill) -Endurance (as needed for medium weight) |
Looking to win some PvP duels (and invasions) based on sheer fright alone? Well, then it’s time to cosplay as the horror genre’s most nightmarish fever dream creature, Pyramid Head. The Greathood is mandatory, by the way, especially if you want the look. And you might have to prefer invasions as a PvP mode so you look more menacing with the red hue.
Crimson Bubbletear is not mandatory, but if you want to commit to the horror harbinger theme, you want this to give a false sense of near-victory for enemies as it will restore your HP when you’re near death. This might work decently for PvE, but it’s best reserved for human enemies since it’s one of the most fun Elden Ring builds for PvP.
Guts
Starting Class | -Hero -Vagabond |
Weapon(s) | -Heavy Greatsword (Colossal) -Heavy Misericorde |
Armor | -Black Wolf Mask for helmet (optional) -Night Cavalry set for everything else |
Talismans | -Shard of Alexander -Green Turtle Talisman -Carian Filigreed Crest -Dagger Talisman |
Physick Flask | -Greenburst Crystal Tear -Crimsonwhorl Bubbletear |
Weapon Skill(s)/Spells/Incantations | -Lion’s Claw in Greatsword -Flames of the Redmane in Misericorde |
Stat Priority | -Strength (60/80) -Vigor (prioritize 50/60) -Mind (as needed for spamming Lion’s Claw) -Endurance (as needed for medium weight) |
Speaking of cosplay builds, Elden Ring is chock-full of Berserk references, you might as well turn your whole character into The Struggler, Guts. Also known as the Black Swordsman, his misfortunes in his own manga series have served as a chief inspiration for Elden Ring and just about any Dark Souls game.
So it’s time to pay homage. This build is somewhat overpowered, by the way. Lion’s Claw deals massive damage while also having a comical stagger potential. You can even stagger or stun Malenia with just 2-3 hits of Lion’s Claw. After that, it’s time to go for the critical attack. Flames of the Redmanes, despite being nerfed, is there for area damage against multiple weak enemies (and to emulate Guts’ hand cannon).
Moonlight Greatsword / Ranni’s Husbando Build
Starting Class | -Prisoner -Astrologer |
Weapon(s) | -Dark Moon Greatsword -Carian Regal Scepter |
Armor | -Snow Witch Hat -Carian Knight set for everything else, or anything you want |
Talismans | -Shard of Alexander -Magic Scorpion Charm -Carian Filigreed Crest -Graven-Mass Talisman |
Physick Flask | -Magic-Shrouding Cracked Tear -Opaline Bubble Tear |
Weapon Skill(s)/Spells/Incantations | -Moonlight Greatsword (Dark Moon Greatsword) -Ranni’s Dark Moon -Loretta’s Greatbow -Loretta’s Mastery -Night Shard -Night Comet -Glintstone Icecrag |
Stat Priority | -Intelligence (60/80) -Vigor (prioritize 50/60) -Mind (30/40) -Endurance (as needed for medium weight) -Strength (as needed) |
You’re rewarded rather handsomely for completing Ranni’s questline, and you’ll then have access to this fun Elden Ring build. It’s a spellblade or battlemage that doesn’t rely on the nerfed Moonveil Katana. It’s also more relaxed than most spellcaster builds thanks to Dark Moon Greatsword.
Casting its Moonlight Greatsword skill gives you a one-minute buff that transforms its heavy attack into a crescent frost projectile. It lets you save up on FP. But you can still leverage the Sorceries you have, especially the Night Shard/Comet combo which NPCs can’t seem to evade.
Bubble Blower Build
Starting Class | -Confessor -Prophet |
Weapon(s) | -Envoy’s Long Horn -Erdtree Seal |
Armor | -Any set that puts you in medium weight |
Talismans | -Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman -Shard of Alexander -Sacred Scorpion Charm -Erdtree’s Favor |
Physick Flask | -Holy-Shrouding Cracked Tear -Opaline Bubble Tear (even more bubbles!) |
Weapon Skill(s)/Spells/Incantations | -Bubble Shower (Envoy’s Long Horn) -Wrath of Gold |
Stat Priority | -Faith (60/80) -Vigor (prioritize 50/60) -Mind (as needed for Weapon Skill) -Endurance (as needed for medium weight) -Strength (as needed for gear) |
Sure enough, here’s a meme build that can actually work and something you can take to the late game, surprisingly. Envoy’s Long Horn can blow several golden Holy bubbles that can stagger even bosses if you hit them frequently enough.
You also don’t have to aim too much as the bubbles will spray in a generous cone. In the off chance a buzzkill comes close to halt your bubble bash, then whack them with the longhorn or use Wrath of Gold to put them back in their place so they can watch you blow bubbles. It’s truly one of the most fun Elden Ring builds of all time.
