House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries of New York posted a video on X urging supporters to “throw the extremists out of office” with 95 days remaining, according to the message shared from his Brooklyn, New York, campaign account. The clip shows Jeffries speaking at a campaign-style event focused on an “Affordable America.” Online users reacted after the post with widespread criticism, including repeated calls for him to resign and assertions that Democrats are the extremists.

We have 95 days to change America.

And throw the extremists out of office.

In the clip, he addresses the crowd, saying: “Are you ready to help us take back control of the United States House of Representatives in November? We must knock on every door. We must talk with every neighbor. We must count every vote and ensure there is a free and fair election. And when we do, we will win the day, win the week, win the month, win the year, win the hearts and minds of the American people, and then in November win back control of the United States House of Representatives so we can end this national nightmare and continue our country’s long, necessary, and majestic march towards a more perfect union. God bless you, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and God bless the United States of America.”

Supporters are seen clapping and interacting with him as he gestures from the stage, and the video closes on a campaign graphic featuring the same slogan. The post text states, “We have 95 days to change America. And throw the extremists out of office. Let’s go win!”

Online Discussion of the New York Leader’s Rally Remarks

Some users expressed support for the message and Democratic efforts. One wrote, “Elect Democrats. Dems will stop the corruption, stop the Iran war of choice, tax the rich at least the same % as you get taxed, and pull in the reins on Trump’s insane debasing of our Capital and White House!”

Others added, “The countdown is on!! Let’s go Dems!” and “In 95 days, Dems get to rein this *expletive* in.”

Several focused on calls for him to step aside, including one who stated, “The only way to change it is for you to resign.”

Don’t let them fool you; it’s the same *expletive* every single time now they’re gonna say the Democrats are gonna come and save us.”

The post remains part of the ongoing online discussion surrounding Democratic messaging and the approaching November elections for control of the House.
