The one who doesn’t let go is the one who wins. It’s exciting and tense, and we get to see all the highlights. If they ran it in real-time, people would probably fall asleep watching. Why, you ask? The most infamous pressure cooker competition on the show was in Big Brother 6. That particular standoff went on for a full fourteen hours. Imagine having to watch people hold onto buttons for fourteen hours. Not a thrilling time.
