PlatinumGames has announced that The Wonderful 101 Remastered will launch on Switch, PS4, and PC May 15. The game will come in both physical and digital versions.

The Wonderful 101: Remastered is coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PC!

The Wonderful 101 first released on the Wii U in 2013 and has since become a cult classic for fans of PlatinumGames. Like other games on the Wii U, they were reviewed well but not played as much due to many players not having the console.

In the game, you control a horde of superheroes that must fight giant monsters. As you collect more heroes, you can shape into different forms to fight and save Blossom City.

While The Wonderful 101 was first published solely by Nintendo, the remastered version will be self-published by PlatinumGames. This allows Platinum to publish on other platforms besides the Switch.

The remastered version of The Wonderful 101 was first announced as Kickstarter to bring the game to modern consoles. At this point, the Kickstarter has raised over $1.75 million of a $49 thousand goal.

The Wonderful 101 Remastered Comes With Bonus Kickstarter Rewards

Along with coming to PS4 and Steam, The Wonderful 101 Remastered will also feature a new Time Attack mode and 2D bonus game Luka’s First Mission. Other bonuses available if the Kickstarter reaches the goals include a remixed soundtrack and another bonus game Luka’s Second Mission.

The Wonderful 101 Remastered will release on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Steam. It will release on May 15 in the U.S., Europe, on May 22 and Japan on June 11.

The game is available to pre-order now at select retailers. It will cost $39.99, and release in both physical and digital versions.

In addition to running a Kickstarter for a remastered game, PlatinumGames announced their newest game. Project G.G. combines Platinum style with Kaiju action and also sets a new precedent as Platinum’s first self-published title of an original I.P.
