Black Ops 6 pushed Call of Duty‘s loadout system to the next level by introducing a new feature called the Combat Specialty, granted by using certain base perks from a single class. However, the innovation has come to bite back the game’s Multiplayer mode, making one of these perks a legal wallhack in Black Ops 6.
Now if you don’t know what we’re focusing on here, it’s the Recon perk. Once you pick three blue perks in your Black Ops 6 loadout, you’ll receive a Combat Specialty allowing you to see the enemy players from behind the walls. Targets are marked in red pulses, and as you’d expect, it’s as meta as it sounds in Black Ops 6 pre-season Multiplayer.
Over the past couple of days, many players have addressed this matter, with the bold spotlight on this headline: “This perk has no place in CoD.” Now while some users agree to this call, others think that it should be reworked instead of completely removed. And that’s the boat I share with them.
The Recon perk in Black Ops 6 Multiplayer does really work as a legal wallhack now, and this has been the Call of Duty trend for many many years now. We had the Last Stand and Painkiller for the worst in the past, so Recon is probably in that same category. But now that games get seasonal updates and patches, Recon is totally fixable.
My recommended solution is that they limit this perk to only work one time after, like, 3 deaths. It’s still broken, but at least it limits the damn thing. Another way they can solve this overpowered meta is by giving us a counter option, whereas if you have Ghost, you don’t get spotted with Recon. Or maybe overhaul the whole thing to work as a UAV pulse on your radar after each spawn? Just anything that limits it.
