While vehicular accidents are something we see daily, some of us just wish drivers were more careful to avoid these incidents that affect citizens. However, not everyone thinks like that. A clear example is a car crash that happened in Massachusetts. According to eyewitnesses, it happened because one driver was going the wrong way. Still, what makes this extremely concerning is that some residents have reported this is the fifth such accident in a week, prompting many to wonder why authorities are not enforcing stricter traffic rules.

A Reddit user from Massachusetts shared the image on the platform, showing a vehicular accident, claiming it happened because the drivers were going the wrong way. However, OP also shared more details about it, saying that those who crashed were two young women who were seemingly drunk, thus leading to the whole “wrong way” situation.

It is unclear what happened in the aftermath, but judging by the picture, authorities arrived at the scene and were likely investigating the incident. Still, what shocked many Massachusetts residents is that this appears to be the fifth car crash in a week, which, according to some, is ridiculous at this point. Several believe that those in Massachusetts don’t care about traffic rules and disregard others’ safety, to the point that some are doing strange things behind the wheel.

Massachusetts Residents Believe Drivers Are Out of Control

After looking into this incident, several Massachusetts Redditors shared stories about what others have been seen doing behind the wheel.

“I am not surprised. I drive for a living. See drivers watching movies, talking or texting on hand-held devices, Tik-Toking, running Stop signs and red lights, aggressively tailgating…I’m in a near-miss every night. One of these days, my luck will run out…“

“I saw someone eating a bowl of cereal a week ago. No hands on the wheel and not a self-driving car.“

Others just shared their overall concern and frustration about the increase in accidents.

“This is getting ridiculous now! That’s like 4 or 5 in the last week!“

“Gotta come up with something to stop this from happening.”

Ultimately, residents are urging authorities to take action to address the accidents. They have been happening quite often lately, which is extremely dangerous for all parties involved. Furthermore, it seems that these situations don’t come from self-driving vehicles, which makes everything even more concerning.
