Wordle is a simple puzzle, but it has grown in popularity and spawned several similar puzzles. Variations such as Byrdle and Knotwords have been inspired by Wordle’s success, but it still remains the most popular word puzzle. You must guess a five-letter word with six tries, getting clues that lead you toward the correct answer. While the words can seem obscure at times, they are often words you use in daily conversation. With some educated guesses and precision, you have a high chance of getting the answer. If you are still stuck, you can continue reading past our tips to find the answer and keep your daily streak for Wordle.
Wordle Tips & Best Starting Word
Before you check the answer, try these tips if you are struggling:
- Avoid using letters you know are incorrect. If you know a letter isn’t in today’s Wordle answer, there is no point in using that letter again. Try to think of another word with that letter.
- Try new combinations of letters instead of repeating the same letters. Your goal for the first four tries is to find as many hints as you can. Save your final two tries for more precise guesses.
- If letters are correct but in the wrong position, keep repositioning them. Those letters are correct, and you should do as much work as you can to confirm they are in the correct position.
- Think of words that have at least two correct letters in them. Coming up with words that fit the criteria is better than guessing randomly. You have a direction and it helps you confirm more correct letters.
- Avoid using duplicate letters. While Wordle answers can sometimes have two of the same letter, it happens occasionally. Finding unique letters is more important since they eliminate more possibilities. If you are sure that the word has duplicate letters, save them for the final two guesses.
