Tom Brady is one of the greatest football players ever, but after a second retirement and a divorce, could he come back and play again? Brady has already faked fans out once by returning after calling it quits, but twice seems like overkill. Well, maybe not; in a recent interview, Brady was asked if he would consider playing in the NFL again. Would he pick up the phone if a team called for him to fill their QB spot?
According to OK Magazine, Brady would not be opposed to it. He continues by saying that he will always be in shape. This wouldn’t be the first time he hinted at another return either.
Another Tom Brady Comeback?
Earlier last year, he posted a shirtless picture with the caption saying he was looking for a training camp to show up to. However, Brady explained that it would not likely be possible if the Las Vegas Raiders accepted his bid to become a minority owner.
“I don’t know … I’m always going to be in good shape, always be able to throw the ball. So, to come in for a little bit, like MJ coming back, I don’t know if they’d let me, but I wouldn’t be opposed to it,” Brady explained.
All of this comes after Brady retired for a second time in February 2023. He posted a quick and to-the-point video on Instagram. Tom Brady said you only get one emotional retirement paragraph, and he used it up the first time.
It can be very hard for great athletes to hang it up after amazing careers. Tom Brady is no exception. Another comeback may be fun, but would it ruin his legacy? If Tom retired three different times, fans might think it is getting a little old. That’s for Brady to decide, though. As of right now, Brady is retired.
