Call of Duty: Warzone Ranked Play features an intense playground for ultra-level competitive gameplay. There is no room for mistakes when high awareness is required. To give you a hand, we will share some tips and tricks for farming more SR in every Warzone Ranked Play match, provided you follow the rules and stay calm in the heat or the battle.
Landing Mastery
The very first thing you do in Warzone is one of the most important duties in the game: Landing. If you don’t land in a proper position, the whole game will be a play of cat and mouse, with you and your squad being Jerry and his mates. Always mark a location before the match begins, and spectate the area from above. If clear, land and loot fast. If not, rotate to another area.
Remember, sometimes you just can’t land at the edges of the zone. In Fortune’s Keep, you can go to the Town or the tunnels if all other places are occupied. Also, keep in mind that if your teammate is dead, please stay gliding in the air until they’re back. This tip will save you and your squad to stay in the game longer, hence farming more SR in Warzone Ranked Play.
Placement is Everything
Killing and getting assists will gain you some SR points, but for placement, it’s the main play. Even if you don’t manage to get as many kills, being in the top 5 means no negative SRs. So, keep in mind that this is a game of survival, not a killing contest.
The best you can do is to play at the edges of the safe zone. Keep holding your ground in the safe zone as much as possible, and rotate with your teammates with each circle.
Pick The Right Gear
Even if you’re at the perfect spot and have the circle in your favor, you won’t last long without the right gear. Meta weapons, right perks, and useful utilities are just as important. Here’s the list of the best meta weapons, perks, and equipment you’d need the most in Warzone Ranked Play Season 2:
Assault Rifles and LMGs:
- RAM-7
- BP50
- TAQ Evolvere
- TAQ Eradicator
SMGs:
- HRM-9
- Striker-9
- WSP-9
Battle Rifles:
- MTZ-762
- Bas-B
Perks Package:
- Sleight of Hand
- Irradiated
- Cold Blooded
- Flex
Equipment:
- Proximity Mine/Frag Grenade
- Smoke Grenade
Snipers Are Not The Best Here
Following the previous tip, sniper rifles do not one-shot the opponents in Warzone Ranked Play. Even if you use the explosive rounds, SRs won’t one-shot the enemy targets if they’re fully plated. So, if you’re facing an enemy with an overpowered AR like BP50, the moment you land your first sniper shot on them is the moment you’re dead.
The only positive way you can use the sniper rifles in Warzone Ranked Play is by making it a combination with your teammates. Let them weaken the opponent, and you get the final shot, or you do the same for them. But in general, not using sniper and marksman rifles in Warzone Ranked is a valuable tip.
Remember, We’re A Team
Last but not least, you need to focus on your team play in Warzone Ranked Play. This is a trio-team effort, so if you’re not giving comms via pings or voice chat, you can not expect the best outcomes. Buying UAVs, Loadout Drops, and any other team-up duties in the game require a co-op mindset, which isn’t hard to master.
Remember that if you rush the enemies with a good trio strategy, it’s much better than pulling off a solo clutch. Even if you manage to take down two of the enemy opponents, a third party might arrive and eliminate you, which also costs SR each time you redeploy in the game. So keep your friends in cover, and try having a chat before any rushes.
Call of Duty: Warzone is currently available to play on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
