Tori Spelling is receiving immense backlash for her living conditions amid the ongoing Los Angeles fires. On the latest episode of her podcast, the actress updated fans on her post-evacuation life. Spelling and her five kids were forced to leave their Woodland Hills rental property weeks ago due to the spreading fires. Now, she is back home and forced to confront the reality of poor choices.
On Friday’s episode, the BH90210 star confessed that she was shocked at the state of her home when she returned to her neighborhood. “I walk through our front door. You guys, I’m not an alarmist. I walked in, and I gasped,” she recalled dramatically.
“I thought while we were gone, out of town, evacuated, someone has broken into our home and has burglarized our home. There have been looters here. Look at the state of the house.”
The TV personality said everywhere looked messy, causing her to conclude, “people had come in and just trashed our house.” However, that was far from the truth.
“Then upon closer inspection, I realized, oh s***, no, this is just the way I live. When you’re lucky enough that you still have your home and you still have your things, it really put it into perspective that it’s like, God, I have so much stuff.”
Tori Spelling Is ‘Ready To Let Go,’ Says No More Hoarding
Upon realizing her lousy living conditions, Spelling admitted she was ready to make significant changes.
“I’m really ready to do that—especially this all on the heels of me doing my hoarding episode—I really just haven’t had the time, but I’m ready to let go of stuff.”
The Stori Telling author believes the revelation came at the right time, with thousands in California needing donations. “Especially being back in town now, we can help donate all our stuff that we can get out and give it to the people,” she said on her MisSPELLING podcast.
In addition, she expressed gratitude that all her and her children’s stuff remained intact. Despite Spelling’s realization of her past wrongs, fans online aren’t so forgiving of her living conditions, especially given that she lives with her five children.
“She said her eldest daughter, Stella, did most of the cleaning, cooking, and child tending,” a fan wrote. “Now she said her house looks like looters ransacked the place. I guess poor Stella can only do so much. When is Spelling going to grow the flip up?“
“I would be embarrassed to admit my home was so messy I thought I had been burgled,” another comment read. “No excuse to live like trash.”
“Always mayhem, drama, and chaos with this one,” another critic slammed.
Tori Spelling seems ready to turn over a new leaf, but fans clearly won’t make it easy on her.
