Every Trailer Shown at the 2017 Game Awards

Game Awards

The 2017 Game Awards was home to over 20 world premiere trailers for upcoming titles. While PlayStation and Nintendo had an extremely strong showing, Microsoft was pretty non-existent. Regardless, listed below are all of the trailers shown at The Game Awards.

World War Z

The Game Awards began with a trailer that no one really expected: World War Z. The book turned film will now be getting the video game treatment as well. Developer Saber Interactive described it as a, “four-player cooperative action game [with] unique survivor stories and missions around the globe, including New York, Moscow, and Jerusalem.”

Vacation Simulator

The team behind Job Simulator, Owlchemy Labs, released a trailer for their newest title, Vacation Simulator. While the developer didn’t announce a release date yet, but it will be available on PlayStation VR and HTC Vive.

Accounting+

The co-creators of Rick and Morty announced that Accounting+ will be coming to PlayStation VR later this month on December 19th. The developers teased a hard to find zoo level, so make sure to keep your eyes open!

FromSoftware Teaser Trailer

FromSoftware, the developer behind the Souls series and Bloodborne, teased a new project. However, that is about all we know. The trailer ends with “Shadow Die Twice,” and the internet has exploded with fan theories on what to expect.

In The Valley of the Gods

The creators behind Firewatch, Campo Santo, released a trailer for their newest project: In The Valley of the Gods. It is scheduled for PC release sometime in 2019, but fans are already dying to see more!

GTA Online: Doomsday Heist

Rockstar Games released a new trailer for their newest GTA Online heist, “The Doomsday Heist”. The newest heist will be available later this week on December 12th.

Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild DLC

Nintendo released a trailer for “The Champion’s Ballad” DLC; players will get the chance to learn more about the four champions and Princess Zelda before Link awakens. They took it one step further and released the DLC that same night! So, go check out the DLC right now!

Soul Calibur VI

Does your soul still burn? Bandai Namco announced the sixth iteration of the Soul Calibur franchise. Soul Calibur VI will have revamped fighting mechanics, story mode, and “dynamic fights enhanced by cinematic-styled combat.”

Fade to Silence

THQ Nordic released a trailer for their new survival game, Fade to Silence. This first look into the “the cold and deadly world of an apocalyptic winter” will be available for Early Access on Steam later this week on December 14th!

Bayonetta 1 & 2 Switch Release

Reggie made an appearance to announce the Switch remaster of Bayonetta 1 & 2. The classic is set to release on February 16th, 2018.

Bayonetta 3

In true Nintendo fashion, Reggie wasn’t ready to leave without one more surprise. After announcing Bayonette 1 & 2, he went on to announce that Bayonetta 3 is currently in the works.

Death Stranding

It’s no surprise that Kojima’s eight-minute Death Stranding trailer ultimately stole the show. While the trailer only leaves audiences with more questions, the internet has exploded with theories on what Death Stranding is actually about.

Sea of Thieves Release Date

This was a trailer that was easy to miss as it was crammed in between a few ads. Sea of Thieves, the comical, pirate adventure, has finally received a release date. It is set to release on March 20th, 2018 on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation.

Witchfire

Witchfire is a new horror shooter from the team behind The Vanishing of Ethan Carter. This dark shooter allows players to explore gothic areas while fighting grotesque monsters and zombie-like creatures. Unfortunately, that is all we know at the moment.

A Way Out 

Despite the crazed rantings of the developer, A Way Out is a game that deserves the proper attention. The new title coming from EA’s indie division was announced at E3 last summer, and is set to release on March 23rd, 2018.

Dreams

Dreams, from the Little Big Planet devs, is a bit hard to explain, but it looks amazing! Think of it like this: Dreams is a sandbox title that allows you the ability to bring your own creations to life.

Metro Exodus

Metro Exodus released a new trailer after announcing the title at E3 2017. It will be released sometime in 2018 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC.


There you have it! The Game Awards definitely did not disappoint this year. As stellar as 2017 was, it looks like 2018 is gearing up to be just as great. What titles are you looking forward to the most? Let us know in the comments below!
