“New Year, new me,” is the quote that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle seem to be focused on to start their 2025. Speaking to The Mirror, a source claims that the two have promised to “stay patient when it comes to the Palace” and endeavor in the direction of royal repair. They no longer wish to “sweat that stuff” that made them so stressed in the previous year and “spend more time focusing on their relationship.” All this sounds good — if people truly believed what they’re promising.
“Meghan and Harry are done,” says a top comment on the matter, calling them out as “traitors to the crown.” They tried but failed in their attempt to take down The Royal Family. The commenter continues: “Now that all your endeavors have crashed and burned, you are desperate to become royals again. Sorry, not going to happen.”
Another highly upvoted remark went on to point out how, since she’s gotten married to Prince Harry, Meghan Markle’s primary focus has been to gain clout and money:
“They are getting worried about money. Meghan doesn’t care about repairing relationships. She’s about how a relationship can help her financially or in her social standing. She is a parasite.”
Another comment raises a good point, mentioning how “once you talk about the monarchy, it’s over.” Not only did Prince Harry cut ties with The Royal Family back in January 2020. He did so badmouthing the very King and Queen who gave him everything he had in life as a former Senior Royal. On top of that, the Sussexes disrespected William and his wife, per Live Mint.
If mistreating and talking down the monarchy wasn’t bad enough, Prince Harry referred to his followers as “trolls” in an interview for calling him and Meghan out on their blunders. Of course, this only added fuel to the fire, as disdain for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex has grown over time. Things have gotten so bad that The Mirror reports that the “threat level” for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is “higher than for that of nearly the rest of every other royal, equal to that assigned to the Queen.”
Unfortunately, security for the ex-royal couple and their allegedly ‘fake’ children hasn’t been of any concern to the British government. King Charles refuses to “take any calls” from Harry, and Meghan is said to have “no communication with the King and Queen.” This leaves them in a very bad position if they were to be pursued by a bad actor aiming to do them harm.
Harry and Meghan Still Hold High Hopes for 2025
Nevertheless, even though their fans might not believe in them, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle look to the rest of 2025 with the hope of royal repair. Meghan’s cooking series on Netflix is scheduled to air on January 15, and Prince Harry still aims to “make a change this year” regarding his relationship with the monarchy, per Birmingham Live.
Although followers of the Sussexes see no hope in the future for the two, Prince Harry finally has “some regrets over it [Megxit] all and the way it was handled.” That said, there might be hope left as long as he keeps trying. The main issue would be to convince Meghan to have the same goal, which might be a challenge, seeing her priorities seem to be elsewhere.
