Hugh Grant reveals taking his daughter and a friend to one of Taylor Swift‘s London concerts over the summer. While his daughters enjoyed the performance, Hugh says he was partying hard with Travis Kelce.
During a recent interview with NME, Hugh Grant detailed his experience at the Taylor Swift Eras concert. Grant revealed that he had never enjoyed himself at a concert before, but he had a ‘great time‘ during the show and owed it all to Taylor’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce.
Hugh Grant says that while his daughter and her friend were dancing and singing along with Taylor Swift, he and Travis Kelce threw back tequila shots. “Now that is my cup of tea,” Grant states.
The actor says that his daughter really wanted to see Taylor’s show. However, the famous tour was sold out, so like any good father, he put out some feelers in hopes of gaining tickets to the event. Hugh Grant reveals that while searching for tickets, Taylor Swift and her team responded to his request.
Travis Kelce And Hugh Grant Hit It Off
“To my astonishment, [Swift and her team] said, ‘Come along,'” he said. “And I thoroughly enjoyed it.” Grant said his daughter and her friend “went mad” during the concert, “bopping away” to every song.
Even though the concert was packed with celebrities, including Tom Cruise, Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher, Liam Hemsworth, and more, Hugh found himself gravitating to the Kelce brothers.
While the girls enjoyed the show, Hugh revealed meeting Taylor Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and his brother, Jason Kelce. They began talking and hit off, and the next thing you know, they were tossing back tequila shots.
“I hung out with Taylor Swift’s boyfriend, who is an American football player,” Grant said. “We did tequila shots in the back of this … hut in the middle of Wembley [Stadium]. We got absolutely smashed.”
When the show ended, Hugh Grant tweeted Taylor Swift to thank her for the evening. However, despite the evening they shared and the fun that was had, Hugh revealed that he and Travis Kelce haven’t kept in touch.
Hugh Grant Behavior Scolded By Fans
According to Page Six, Hugh’s fans have some feelings about the Love Actually star’s night with Travis Kelce. One writes, “In front of your daughter, Grant?”
“It sounds like you were not being very responsible or setting a great example in front of your daughter and her friend,” scolds a fan.
“TK is a piece of work! Both TS & he can drink most under the table, so we know HG ain’t lying,” adds another. “Sounds like a good time was had by all,” one more wrote.
According to Grant, all went well. His daughter saw her idol perform, and Hugh Grant finally had a good time at a concert. He walked away with a new acquaintance and, most likely, a headache. But what is a little hangover between friends?
