Tristan Thompson is being reminded that he has another son during a family celebration. Over the weekend, the NBA player and Khloe Kardashian marked their son Tatum’s 2nd birthday with all pomp and pageantry. However, the special day didn’t go without a prompt from his former mistress, Maralee Nichols.
On Sunday, Nichols gave fans a rare glimpse at her son, Theo, whom she shares with Thompson. The mother-son duo enjoyed a day out at the beach, as seen in the photos posted on her Instagram Story. The little one ran happily sauntered across the sand while his mom watched from afar. The timing of Nichols’ post sure raises eyebrows as Thompson and Kardashian celebrated their son’s birthday that same day.
In an Instagram post, the Cleveland Cavaliers paid a heartfelt tribute in honor of Tatum’s big day. Alongside photos of the toddler and his older sister True, the basketballer wrote, “Happy birthday Tatum!! Man, time goes by so fast! I can’t believe you’re already two years old!” The emotional post continued:
“I am so blessed and honored to be your dad. Your energy and charisma lights up the room. Thank you for being such an amazing son and brother to your mommy and sister. Watching you grow every day makes my heart happy. Continue being the angel you are son.”
Fans Bash Tristan Thompson For Forgetting His ‘Other Kid’
Although Tristan Thompson’s post to Tatum was heart-melting, fans weren’t pleased by his lack of acknowledgment of Theo. “All your children should get the same love and respect,” urged one fan. Another lamented, “You have another little boy out there. That would probably love to have his dad, not deny him.” A third harsh comment read:
“Don’t forget about your other kid man…! Remember the other little boy that is the same age as Tatum..?!There is one God who sees everything.!”
Nichols and Thompson’s affair blew up into a major scandal as he was still in a relationship with Khloe Kardashian. At the time, the exes had just conceived Tatum via surrogate. Although the athlete first denied paternity, he later confirmed it in January 2022 after a lengthy lawsuit. He was ordered to pay child support, but he never publicly discusses the 2-year-old or Nichols.
