Two Honkai Star Rail Characters Could Return in 2.7, and My Wallet Couldn’t Be More Scared

This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

We all know that new versions equals more waifus. What we care about is that soon, two characters could make a comeback, characters that almost the whole community has been pestering about nearly every day, including me. That’s right; leaks hint that for Honkai Star Rail 2.7, we could have the sinful Sunday and Tingyun back from the dead. Now, I am scared that if they both appear in the same version’s banners, I will go straight to bankruptcy. But skipping either of them is a risk I’m not willing to take.

Supposedly, Sunday will be part of phase 1 as an Imaginary Harmony character, as if we need more characters of this element. Don’t get me wrong—I love Sunday and am happy to have him back, but he turned his back on this Path, and the Action Advance mechanic is nothing new for the Imaginary. This leak caught my attention primarily because he will have the Energy Overflow skill to store and distribute energy to his teammates, allowing them to use Ultimates more often, or so the leak says.

As for Tingyun’s role in Honkai Star Rail 2.7, according to the leaks, we will find out precisely what happened to her before and after Phantylia. This foxian ended up manipulated by The Destruction. After Phantylia discarded Tingyun, she only survived precisely because of the corruption caused by The Destruction in her body. Earlier leaks also show her with a new darker appearance and Kitsune tails, but there is no information about her banner.

I don’t care if there is synergy between these two characters or if they are helpful for my current teams; I just know that I will get both of them one way or another. So far, the only answer to my dilemma is to borrow some money. Yet, this is all speculation based on leaks, so we’ll have to wait and see what HoYoverse has in store for us. However, due to the 2.5 story, I have reasons to believe that at least one of these two leaks might be true.
