In one of those situations in which everyone involved is in the wrong, two women got into a heated argument in the middle of a New Jersey mall. While they were screaming at each other so much that it’s difficult to decipher what sparked the debate, it’s clear that neither side was interested in hearing the other out.
The issue seemed to have taken place between a customer and an employee of Cee Cee’s Cupcake Palace in New Jersey’s Freehold Raceway Mall allegedly. As mentioned, it’s unclear what transpired between the two women, but that hasn’t stopped the internet from trying to figure it out!
One person believes it was an issue of potential dining and dashing. They commented on the clip, “I mean, if she went into the bakery and just took her cupcakes without paying, she’s 100% wrong. That’s clearly not a walk-in shop, and I don’t know a single place where you walk up, take your items, then send the money later. ‘I was going to send it’ is not proof of legal purchase.“
Someone else assessed that the customer may have crossed a boundary and gone into an employee-only area. They wrote, “In what world has it ever been ok to go behind the counter? And then the nerve to record this lady like she’s the problem? Honestly, some people never face consequences, and it shows.“
Some particularly dedicated people commented that they lived near the incident in question, and planned to go to the mall to investigate! Naturally, internet users begged them to report back with any information about what transpired in the clip.
At this point, the only thing that’s certain is the conversation in the video didn’t go anywhere productive. As one person commented, “The only thing I can say for sure is that neither of these people has any interest in listening to the other one.” Another agreed, “Wall argues with wall.” Meanwhile, a third echoed, “Lots of talking and no listening.“
A quick look at the business’s Google reviews may shed some light on the situation. It seems the Redditor who felt the customer went somewhere she shouldn’t be was the most accurate. According to a negative review and the owner’s response to it, it seems that the customer entered a space of the business she shouldn’t have. Of course, it’s possible that the review in question is about an incident other than what is shown in the clip. However, the timing and details do match up.
Sadly, it seems the debate has moved to the business’s reviews section. Some customers are writing about how lovely the owner is, while others are labeling her as rude and dismissive. Unfortunately, this issue looks to be far from resolved.
