Undercover ICE Agents Get Called Out Inside the New York Subway: ‘Don’t Worry About What I Work For’

I-CE you. Get it?

We all know that the ICE situation isn’t the greatest right now in the US. Even if you’re American, there’s a chance you’ll get affected by these officers and get wrongfully accused. Fortunately, there are a lot of people who are already on “ICE watch” and calling out those who look suspicious before they harass or wrongfully detain someone in public. One of the most recent situations happened inside the New York subway, where a person quickly realized a couple of men were acting strangely and looked a lot like undercover ICE agents.

Hey are you guys with ICE?
byu/solateor inPublicFreakout

Solateor is the Redditor who shared the video on the r/PublicFreakout subreddit. In it, we can observe a couple of suspicious men standing inside the New York subway, and the one filming asks if “they are with ICE.” The man on the left looks to the side and asks, “What’s ICE?” The OP claims they just saw these men arrest someone. Yet, these two claim they didn’t, despite the OP mentioning they had someone in cuffs. The other man on the video then says, “We’re not ICE.” So, the one filming asks if they are “little bounty hunters.”

The video gets a bit awkward once the person filming asks what they are doing, and the one on the left replies, “None of your business.” Clearly, the men are attempting to dodge the questions. After the OP mentions they are a tax-payer and continues to ask about the man’s job, the man just says, “Don’t worry about what I work for.” Which, again, seems like an attempt to evade the question. You can see that during all this time, the man seems to be looking at the back of the subway car.

Soon after, the OP claims these men did racial profiling on the one they cuffed. The two individuals just roll their eyes and look behind them. Then, one of them says, “Internet baby, can’t beat it.” After the one filming asks them where they are going, they start calling the OP to get out off the train with them. What is highly strange, however, is that once the doors open, one of them pulls out a flashlight and starts making signs, most likely toward another person.

“I wonder what flashing the flashlight was. I think it was a signal to other undercover he stopped when the lady asked him to get off.” – Jumbee1234 via Reddit.

“A+ to camera dude for having the balls to call them out ✅” – I_AM_VENNLIG via Reddit.

However, some Redditors claim that they might’ve been undercover New York PD officers instead of ICE Agents, but that’s uncertain. In any case, what they did was definitely sketchy. Also, with how things are in the country right now, it’s better to be wary about everyone.
