We all know things aren’t so hot in Illinois right now with ICE running rampant around the state and trying to take people away without cause. Fortunately, there are situations where some of these so-called ICE agents fail miserably at their jobs and give us a few laughs when doing so. A recent video shows one of these “elite” officers chasing a person in the street, but falling due to being in terrible physical shape. What was supposed to look like an action-packed chase on foot ended up looking like a scene straight from a sitcom.
The video, taken outside the Broadview Processing Center in Illinois, shows two ICE agents chasing a man. However, it appears that one of the two officers was underqualified, underprepared, and unfit, as evidenced by his collapse to the ground while chasing the activist.
You can actually see the hilarious scene as the man wearing the police vest starts panting, lets out a scream, and then falls. He then rolls over on the ground and motions the other agents to continue, saying, “Go, go, go.”
At this point, the other officer stops to look back at him, but slowly resumes the chase. Yet, you can see the suspect is far away from the two officers who utterly failed during the pursuit.
What makes things even more fun is that the person these two agents were chasing wasn’t even sprinting; he was jogging at the slowest possible pace. Even then, the two armored men struggled to give chase.
As you can imagine, many Redditors online took this opportunity to mock the unprepared law enforcement officers, who, instead of creating an action-packed chase, ended up in a hilarious situation that could have been straight out of a modern sitcom.
“The least athletic guys you know.” Said one user.
“I wore less gear in Iraq. This is just humiliating and disgusting to see people going after the general population.” Commented another person.
“The kid is just jogging at the pace required for a zombie movie, and getting away.” Said another Redditor.
While some other ICE agents have succeeded at wrongfully taking people away, it is great to see that at least one citizen got away from the grasp of these alleged peacekeepers. Furthermore, they gave everyone some good laughs, which is a definite plus. In any case, karma is definitely a thing, and in this situation, it came back to haunt these unfit agents.
