Recently, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have been causing an uproar in its fans since the save data scare outbroke earlier this week. Meaning that the new update and playing the game could cause you to lose your saved data…think about just how terrifying that is for a hard-core Pokemon gamer and collector who has been grinding to get all the Pokemon in-game for the past six months. Not to mention those who have been lucky enough to get some good Shiny pokemon along the way.
An Update Is Coming In April for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
On its Japanese social pages, the Pokémon Company has announced that a new update will be issued at the end of next month, so late April. This will hopefully fix the problem players have been facing since the earlier update from Game Freak, and Nintendo since the data save corruption happened. Below is what The Pokémon Company said on their socials:
“This update will fix a few bugs but most notably the bug where players would catch an Egg instead of Walking Wake/Iron Leaves if they were on Version 1.1 when the raid event started, locking them out of catching the Pokémon. A repeat of the Tera Raid event will run around the same time as the update data. We’ll provide more details as they come”
As of right now, there is not a breakdown list of every patch, update, and bug fix that will be taking place in April’s Pokemon Scarlet and Violet update…and what is more concerning for players is there was no mention of fixing the save file issue…which, as mentioned above, has been happening to players since the last update. Hopefully, we will get a clearer update on this from The Pokémon Company soon so players won’t feel the need to avoid playing the game out of risk of losing their progress. It seems like just recently, players were avoiding another game due to issues too. Pokémon Scarlet and Violet can be purchased on the Nintendo Switch.
