Collecting items and materials is an important, if not critical, part of thriving in Valheim. However, getting rid of unwanted items in your inventory is just as important. No one needs a cluttered inventory especially when it isn’t as big as you’d like. So, here are all the ways you can get rid of unwanted items in Valheim.
How to Get Rid of Unwanted Items
There are two ways to get rid of items in Valheim: store them or drop them. To store items and materials, you will have to invest in some chests. The chests are a sure-fire way to store items, not unlike the chests in Minecraft. The catch with this method, however, is that chests are quick to fill. If you’re not careful, you’ll risk starting a collection of chests. Soon enough, those chests will take over your entire base! Investing in a storehouse or a warehouse in your base might be a great idea. That way you’ll have an easier way of managing all the chests and items before they take over your life.
Our Other Valheim Guides
The other way to get rid of items or materials in Valheim is to drop items. Whether it’s the ground or the water or even a dark mine, dropping items is an excellent way of getting rid of items. Just drag the item from your inventory and drop it outside the menus and it shall drop on whatever surface your on. However, don’t be surprised if the item decided to stick around. The items will not immediately disassemble or despawn. Rather they will stay for a couple of in-game days. To avoid any necessary clutter, finding a pit or a hole might be the best place to throw your unwanted items in the world.
