One of the bigger issues people are having in the new Valheim update Hearth and Home is the brand new cooking station, the spice rack. While some are struggling to even build the thing, the greatest issue players are encountering is trying to actually place it. Luckily, we should be able to make things clearer for you right here. Here, we will show you how to make and where to place the Spice Rack in Valheim.

How To Make And Place The Spice Rack in Valheim
The first thing that you will need to do to build the spice rack is the correct supplies. You will need three dandelions, two carrots, five mushrooms, three thistles, and three turnips. These supplies are fairly easy to come by, so once you have gathered them up, head to your workbench and build the spice rack. This is the easy part, but many people have been struggling with where to place it, as many places in your home will be deemed as an “inappropriate placement.” The first thing you need to know is that the rack needs to be suspended near your cauldron, as the rack is used to improve the cauldron. It allows the cauldron to make new recipes like Black Soup. So make sure you are trying to place it near the cauldron.
If you are placing it near the cauldron and still are getting the placement error, then make sure you are suspending the spice rack from a part of the house. This means it can’t be attached to a wall and needs to be hung from a horizontal beam or the roof. Once both of these requirements are met, you should be able to place the spice rack in Valheim and improve your cauldron and your meals alongside it.
