Wednesday’s episode of Vanderpump Rules seemed to set the premise for Raquel Leviss’ affair with Tom Sandoval, as the reality actress faced backlash from her female co-stars. The episode, set months before the blowup of the secret affair, saw the women accuse Raquel of being untrustworthy and only interested in married men.
Raquel Leviss Faced Criticism From Co-Stars Before Tom Sandoval Affair
The drama commenced with Lala Kent calling out Raquel’s behavior after she made out with Oliver Saunders Garcelle Beauvais’ eldest son, in her drunken state. Lala admitted in a confessional that her co-star’s sloppiness made her uncertain she could trust her after “one too many drinks” given how unpredictable she becomes.
The reality star proceeded to describe Raquel as a liability. Their co-star Katie Maloney backed Lala’s view of Raquel, calling her “Mrs ‘I’m Gonna Make Out with Your Man.'” They also referenced a previous incident where the controversial TV personality asked Katie’s husband Tom Schwartz to make out. Katie told the cameras:
“I’m starting to see a pattern in Raquel. It seems that she’s only interested in men that her friends are either married to or interested in, and that is a big red flag for me.”
Lala reiterated this stance, by telling Raquel pointedly that she would never trust her around her man. In her intoxicated state, Raquel quickly shot back at Lala, pointing out she didn’t have a man, to begin with. The response shocked the other women, prompting Katie to warn the others to “hide your boyfriend,” albeit jokingly.
Raquel Leviss Defended Her actions On Vanderpump Rules
When Lala confronted a sober Raquel the next morning, the 28-year-old admitted she did not recall what she said. She then sounded the importance of respecting people’s relationships, referencing her own drunken mistake from six years back, when she hooked up with Raquel’s ex-fiancé James Kennedy. In a confessional, Raquel pointed out the irony of receiving relationship advice from Lala, saying:
“It’s a little weird that Lala, of all people, is schooling me about respecting relationships when she was the one that slept with my boyfriend. This is textbook definition of a hypocrite.”
Thereafter, the party began their ride from Las Vegas to Lake Havasu in Arizona. During the car ride, Raquel had a panic attack, supposedly from not knowing what to do with her life. Raquel and Lala kept up their bickering as they arrived at their destination, with the former calling out her co-star for sleeping with James.
Raquel Leviss and Lala’s argument continued into dinner, with other Vanderpump Rules castmates getting involved. Eventually, Raquel made the decision to return to LA, as she did not feel comfortable on the trip. After some more heated exchanges, she finally bid the girls farewell, but not before gloating about Oliver choosing her over Lala.
Lala could only conclude Raquel was indeed insane, and a “low-vibration human being,” and the other women couldn’t agree more. To think the episode played out long before the affair between Raquel Leviss and Tom Sandoval got exposed almost seems like the women had a foresight. Although Tom’s wife, Ariana Madix has since divorced him over the cheating scandal, Raquel’s relationship with the others remains sloppy.
