Vicious Massachusetts Single Mom ‘Pops Tires’ if People Park in Her Spot: ‘You’re Risking More Than Just Your Tires’

Not warranted, but understandably infuriating

In the States, you don’t just mess with people’s parking spots and get away with it. When it snows, multiply the aggressive behavior by ten, as people will fight tooth and nail to protect their spots. One particularly vicious woman in Boston, Massachusetts, is definitely someone you don’t want to mess with, as she goes beyond threats with claims that she will destroy your car if you dare take her spot. Her snow-buried sign reads in all caps, “I pop tires! Do not park here!” It’s signed, “Single mom who shoveled here every 3 hours! I am at work.”

Well, that’s one way to go about it

While it’s debatable whether anyone dares take up the aggressive single mom on her challenge, it definitely caught the attention of the internet. The photo on posts for r/boston and r/mildlyinfuriating alone has accumulated 30K upvotes. Of course, declaring that you’ll slice the tires of anyone looking to park in your spot sounds pretty unhinged on paper, but the similar stories that dozens of commenters share might make you think the single mom’s behavior is somewhat valid.

“I spent about 20 min digging out most of my car, then was able to power through a lot of it thanks to AWD and snow tires,” recalled one Redditor, who claimed they failed to leave a space saver afterward. However, the very next morning, someone else had taken their clean spot and even had the audacity to leave a sign of their own. “The whole thing is dumb,” they concluded.

Another person shared a story about how their neighbor even saw them clearing out their parking spot, yet still ended up stealing it in the end. “He watched me clear it all day and we even talked for a minute while I was doing it. Really made me think less of him as a person,” they remarked.

Hopefully, for her own sake, to avoid legal issues, the Boston single mom’s claim of tire popping isn’t actually real. Still, knowing how incredibly thoughtless and inconsiderate some people can be of other people’s efforts to clear out a parking spot is understandably infuriating.
