It seems like every day we’re writing a new piece on Karens, road rage, and racism here at The Nerd Stash. Well, today I’ve found a video that rolls everything into one. It’s a shocking incident in Michigan that highlights the incredible stupidity of some folks who simply cannot civilly resolve an argument. Quite what led this woman to hurl racist abuse at a man before running him over is unclear, nor is the aftermath. But judging by the footage, I’d say she may have had the police knocking on her door afterwards.
As you can see above, some sort of altercation has occurred moments before this footage takes place. Allegedly, between the passenger and the man filming. The driver, a woman, can be heard describing the man filming as “white trash” right before the passenger assaults him. Then, a can of soda is hurled at him after he snaps the registration of the vehicle, and then, for whatever reason, the man filming decides it might be a good idea to stand in front of the vehicle. It wasn’t. Because our racist Karen in the driver’s seat doesn’t hesitate for one moment to slam the accelerator and run him over. Luckily, the man filming doesn’t appear to be injured.
“Isn‘t this attempted murder?” asks one user in the comment section of the Reddit thread I pulled this video from. I’m no legal expert, but I’d say it comes pretty close. This could have ended very badly for everyone involved. “Both individuals in the car can and should be arrested,” another user writes. I’d say they probably will be if the man filming presses charges.
Just another day finding dumb shit on the internet, I guess? There’s not much more to say, really, except maybe don’t assault or attempt to run people down over stupid disagreements? That’s probably a sensible philosophy to adopt.
