This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

Not the first Call of Duty servers issue, but this one has taken too long to fix with Warzone and MW3. It’s been nearly 12 hours since the Warzone and MW3 servers’ status appeared to be online on Activision’s official website, but players can’t log in to the game, and if you’re lucky enough to make it to the main menu, you’ll see that all your progress is lost.

We are currently rolling out a fix for this issue. Players will continue to see progression being restored across impacted games. Champions Quest and Ranked Play Modes will remain disabled until progression restoration is complete. https://t.co/xEPlidPgez

Call of Duty: Warzone and MW3 servers are totally functional, except for the Ranked Play mode on both games. According to the Call of Duty Updates X account, more fixes are coming for both games.

What Happened to The Call of Duty Servers?

Season 2 Battle Pass Issues

Hours ago when I was trying to exfil from the Dark Aether in MWZ, the game just kicked me and probably every other player out of the lobbies. Then the game crashed, not allowing to renter. This happened on all platforms on Steam, Battle.Net, Xbox, and PlayStation.

Reported issues are:

  • Player levels are reset.
  • Battle Pass progression is reset.
  • Online lobbies are unavailable.
  • Entering the game has issues in some regions.
  • Loadouts are wiped.
  • MWZ is completely unavailable.

Now this type of server issue isn’t new to the die-hard Call of Duty fans, as we’ve witnessed far worse than this with Black Ops 4 and the start of the previous Warzone season. However, server crashes are not always addressed by the developers, and this time, we’ve got an update.

The official Activision Support website has put a “Limited” tag beside the server status of Warzone and MW3. There is no secured timestamp to stick on Call of Duty: Warzone and MW3‘s servers fix. But it’s been reported that some players have been able to reach the game’s menus with the Battle Pass and Loadouts tabs on full functionality.

As of writing, a patch has been released for the game that you can download on all platforms. But even with the patch downloaded, players still struggle to enter the game. It’s safe to assume that a hotfix will be released soon enough and will bring back all the saved profile and progression data for all players. However, if you’ve been kicked from the game while making an exfil with an ultra-rare schematic is Zombies, your time and progression in that particular match are far gone.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone servers are currently facing issues, and this post will be updated if the servers’ status is back online.
