A Washington grandmother shockingly shared her loud distaste for dogs after an outing with her grandson. After a visit to a state park, a couple with their dog pulled up on her grandson, who doesn’t like dogs. Now, commenters are fighting back, saying you can’t control a public space.
A grandmother who goes by Snowflake (@snowflake1971) recently took her grandson for a fun visit at Dash Point State Park in Washington. While on the beach, a couple walked by with their dog. According to Snowflake, her grandson “is scared of dogs” and didn’t want the dog near him. She recorded her grandson having fun and hopping from rock to rock on the beach. Suddenly, the grandson responded with shock as he saw the small dog barreling toward him.
As the grandmother records, the couple and their dog walk through the same area. The dog reacts as you would expect, happy and excited to see the child. Snowflake’s grandson darts away from the dog in fear as they try to control their pet. Then Snowflake pans to another white dog in the distance, saying the dog also came over to her grandson and scared him. As a result, she had to “pick up” her grandson and “carry him to the car.” Snowflake curses about the dogs and announces to her TikTok, “I’m sick of people thinking other people like their dogs. I hate their dogs.”
The video immediately sparked reactions from commenters, some of whom agreed with Snowflake. One commenter stated, “That was weird fr even for being a public space. They had everywhere else to take their irritating dog lol.” Another added, “I hate this behavior from dog owners. My wife had a ‘friendly’ dog run up on her in Seaside and bite her for no reason. Of course, the owners said ‘he’s never done that before.’”
However, others disagreed with Snowflake’s discontent and how she handled the situation. One commenter quipped, “Oh no I went out in public and the public was there.” Another added, “It is real easy to say, ‘Hey, my grandson is scared of dogs, do you mind recalling them so they don’t come right here?’”
