A man in Washington said he forgot to lock his car and later discovered a woman inside it the next day, who allegedly began threatening him with a golf club.

In the video, the woman was seen sitting in the backseat as the man asked her to get out of his car. Instead of leaving, she told him to get inside the vehicle and start it. When he insisted the car was his, she grabbed a golf club from the backseat.

The woman then pulled out the golf club and began acting aggressively. She exited the car while still holding the club and told the man, “It’s not your [expletive] car.” She again ordered him to get inside and start the car. The video ended at that point, but the car owner later shared a follow-up video.

In the update, the man said he had been taking items from his car the day before and may have forgotten to lock it afterward. He explained that this was how the woman was able to get inside. When he returned the next day to use the vehicle, he found the woman sitting in the backseat. At first, he thought it might be the wrong car, but after noticing his belongings inside, he realized it was indeed his.

After that, the situation unfolded as seen in the initial video. The man said he used the alarm on his key fob, which caused the car horn to go off. He added that the woman only left after that. He also said he did not call the police because he did not consider it a life-threatening emergency and believed it would have taken officers one to two hours to arrive.

The man added that the woman only took his sunglasses and did not steal anything else. He also said the car did not smell pleasant after the incident. At the end of the video, he shared that he was able to retrieve his golf club, which the woman had been holding.

Viewers Weirded Out After Seeing Video of Washington Man

The video sparked reactions online. Many viewers found the Washington man’s experience unusual, while others described it as a frightening situation that could have been handled differently. “WHY aren’t you calling the police??” one person asked. In response to a similar comment, the man said, “Honestly it was less about being nice, and more about strategically ending the situation as quickly as possible without a golf club in my face, car window, or waiting hours for the police to show up.”

Other viewers said they would have reacted differently if they were in the same situation. “Yeah I DON’T have the patience for this when it comes to my car,” one person wrote. Another person said, “I like to think I’m pretty cool-headed but seeing your reaction compared to what mine would have been makes me realize that I’m not.”

The video prompted discussion online about the importance of locking car doors to prevent unauthorized entry. It also sparked broader conversations about how people could handle situations like this and what the most appropriate response might be.
