It looks like WB Games is cooking up something new for Batman or the whole DC Comics Universe. According to a job listing spotted online, WB Games Montréal is hiring for a Senior Producer to help bring brand-new ‘AAA titles’ related to DC Comics to life. The job description specifically mentions that the Senior Producer will ‘oversee all phases and teams of development’ from the ‘concept phase through its release.’ This could indicate that said project is still in pre-production.

While the listing doesn’t reveal any concrete details about the project, the new hire will be working on a game set in DC Comics Universe. Right now, if you take a look at the job listing page, it simply reads:

“WB Games Montréal, a division of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment (WBIE) is looking for a Senior Producer.”

However, if you try to open the page via Wayback Machine, the job description mentions more details like this instead:

“WB Games Montréal, a division of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment (WBIE) is looking for a Senior Producer to join its Game Development team, working on AAA titles set in the DC Comics Universe.“

Despite its recent flop from Suicide Squad Kills The Justice League, WB Games still seems keen on producing Batman-related games. Nick Baker, co-founder of XboxEra.com, suggests that Rocksteady could be working on a new Batman game and that Sony could try to take exclusivity on the project. Another report also said that WB might be spearheading a Robert Pattinson’s The Batman game.

WB Games Montréal division itself is no stranger to developing projects related to DC Universe and Batman. After being responsible for Batman: Arkham Origins in 2013, the team recently released Gotham Knights in 2022, to a lackluster reception.

With the project still in pre-production, it’s unclear what corner of the DC Universe WB Games plans to explore next. Could we finally see a Batman: Beyond Arkham or will the team venture into other cities and characters in the DC lore? Whatever it’ll be, let’s hope it’s not for another live service or VR game.
