New rumors indicate that Los Angeles mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt is planning to star in a new reality TV show that would feature his life as the top official in LA if he wins the election. This sparked outrage among California residents, as many believe that not only would a Pratt administration be bad for Los Angeles, but that the entire campaign is also part of a marketing stunt to promote his image.

According to TMZ, Pratt recently signed a contract with Boardwalk Pictures to star in a reality TV show focused on his political journey. If he becomes mayor of Los Angeles, the series will continue by following him as he lives in the mayor’s mansion.

Sources indicate that the production team will soon begin filming Spencer, his wife Heidi Montag, and their children, as his family will also be a major part of the show. However, it is still unclear exactly how the series would proceed if Pratt becomes mayor.

Los Angeles Voters React to Reports of Pratt’s Reality TV Show Rumors

These rumors did not amuse voters in the major California city, as many became even more skeptical of Pratt’s ability to serve as mayor while also focusing on a reality TV show. Multiple users criticized him, with one writing: “Spencer Pratt’s campaign is a circus, and his supporters are the clowns.”

Others said that “The guy has always been a grifter. People are so stupid that he’s going to win.” Someone else added: “I want film & TV people to have jobs here in town… but not this way.”

Some folks were not surprised to see the rumors of the TV show, however. “Once the election is over, he releases a ‘ docuseries’ about his campaign. This whole thing is a giant grift, and he wins either way. It’s just a matter of how big a prize he ends up with. Assuming that even 25% of the supportive posts on this site are real, rather than paid for by Pratt, it’s absolutely damning in multiple different ways. If he actually won, we’d really be cooked,” one person wrote.

Not everyone seemed to think that Pratt was such a bad choice for mayor, though: “I’ve got to be honest, the other candidates looked really bad after watching the debate. He literally wiped the floor with them. Very surprising. His points really resonated with me.”

As the election for mayor of Los Angeles draws near, these controversies will likely continue to grow, and locals will likely remain concerned about the city’s future. As one user put it when describing the current campaign climate: “We live in hell.”
