What Does Eye of Another World Do in Destiny 2?
This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

Eye of Another World is a generic Exotic Helmet for Warlock, which you can obtain from random world loot. But for some reason, recently, it gained popularity among many Guardians. So what makes it good, and what exactly does Eye of Another World do in Destiny 2? Let’s take a quick peek at this piece of equipment.

Eye of Another World Warlock Helmet Function in Destiny 2, Explained

What Does Eye of Another World Do in Destiny 2?

First of all, we obviously have to breakdown the Perks available on this Warlock helmet, which are:

  • Cerebral Uplink:
    • Highlights priority targets and improves the regeneration speed of your grenade, melee, and Rift abilities. Provides a small benefit to the airborne effectiveness stat of all weapons.
  • Mobility Enhancement Mod:
    • Increased mobility.

Now, clearly, the Mobility Enhancement Mod isn’t the one we should focus on — it’s the Cerebral Uplink. As you can read from the Perk description, Cerebral Uplink gives its user three unique buffs. Let’s go through them one by one.

The first buff you get is the “highlight priority targets.” This means an enemy will be given a red outline when their health is lower than 50%. Meanwhile, enemy Guardians with their Supers ready will have yellow outlines. Best of all, this even applies to foes who are invisible in PvP matches!

Then, the second buff is just as good, if not even better. This “improved regeneration” basically gives you +50 Discipline just by wearing a single piece of Exotic. This bonus is what draws most Warlock into Eye of Another World. According to a Redditor jarsaca’s calculation, it makes your grenade, melee, and Rift abilities have a 50% additional cooldown rate.

Lastly, the “small” bonus to airborne effectiveness means that it grants increased accuracy and aim assist while you’re in the air. Or, simply put, it adds +15 Airborne Effectiveness points to your stats.

Lots of Guardians compare the Eye of Another World Helmet to the Ophidian Aspect Gloves; makes sense since both are neutral Exotic equipment that can be easily mixed and matched and give straight-up boosts to your character instead of just affecting your stats. Jarsaca also has made a pretty good and rather in-depth explanation about how the Eye of Another World Helmet works. Watch their video below.

Destiny 2 is available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms.
