There’s nothing more frustrating than something not working the way it should; especially tech. We’re in the future, how could a video game fail to extract a video IN the game? Unfortunately, it’s a problem that SpookTubers and their friends seem to be having when trying to upload their hard-earned scary content to the platform. Don’t worry, you can still salvage your footage and show all your friends that you aren’t a scaredy-cat in Content Warning.
How To Fix Failed to Extract Video in Content Warning
When ejecting a disc from the video extractor at the end of a run, everything you’ve recorded gets formatted into a disc to then upload to SpookTube. It’s instantaneous, though sometimes, you’ll get an error on the screen that reads Failed to Extract Video. There’s only one way to fix this problem:
- Exit the game and host a brand-new lobby.
Moreover, you can still salvage any recordings you might have lost. Press the F3 button to have the video saved to your desktop. It would be for your own, personal use, but it’s better to show your friends with than just telling them without proof.
How to Avoid Failed to Extract Video Problem
The error can happen for a variety of reasons. To prevent it from happening when you have a camera filled with great video:
- If playing in a team, make sure that one person and one person only is handling the camera at all times.
- Take continuous videos as opposed to short cuts of film. I’m guilty of doing this, making for one long video made up of tons of cut up footage.
Content Warning is available to play on PC.
