Limited Matchmaking has become a hot topic in Modern Warfare 3 gaming communities, and many players are unhappy since, recently, more players have been getting it. It is a state your account lands in when you’re suspected of bending the game’s rules. Shadow ban and Limited Matchmaking are the same thing. Understanding what it means is crucial because it can significantly affect your gaming experience. So, what is Limited Matchmaking in Call of Duty MW3, and how does it work?

Activision will put you in a Limited Matchmaking state if you are presumed of any policy violation. This means even if you have not violated any policy, Activision can still suspect you, and there is a chance your account might go into this status.

However, if you haven’t committed any violations, your account will regain the normal matchmaking status after some time. But remember, there is also a chance your account might get back to the Limited Matchmaking status, temporary suspension, or permanent suspension in MW3.

According to the Call of Duty Security and Enforcement Policy, you will be considered for permanent suspension for several reasons. It may also apply across titles, including past, present, or future titles in the Call of Duty franchise. However, the important part of MW3 is not to get your account into the Limited Matchmaking status and know how to lift this status if you do.

How To Lift Limited Matchmaking Status

If you find yourself in a Limited Matchmaking status in MW3, you can appeal your status by raising an Activision Support ticket to appeal an account penalty. They will review your account and provide the necessary steps to resolve your matchmaking status. However, the decision made during the appeal process will be final unless you prove you had unauthorized access to your account.

Before having all this trouble, it is best to ensure you do not get into this status. Some tips for avoiding it are respecting community guidelines, understanding CoD policies, and playing a fair game. Most importantly, do not be involved with players with limited Matchmaking accounts. These are the thumb of rules for any online gaming with an extensive community. Always remember that what is at stake is your entertainment and fun.
