Some players are asking what the Transfer option does in Dave The Diver. This game is a new indie title where we play as the titular diver by day and as a sushi restaurant owner by night. As an extremely busy man, you will need all the help you can get to keep your restaurant afloat. This is where the Transfer option can come in handy. Now this Dave The Diver guide will explain what Transfer is supposed to do in the game.

Dave The Diver: What Does the Transfer Option Do?

In Dave The Diver, the Transfer option in the menu is used to fire your Staff. Transferring an employee will remove them and give you a portion of your money used on training them. On one hand, you can still rehire some of them by recruiting them via Ads again. But they will be reset to Level 1. Maki is a Dave The Diver‘s employee that cannot be rehired if you Transfer her.

There’s something you have to do before you can use the Transfer option and unlock the Staff Menu in Dave The Diver. You have to finish Yoshie’s quest. She will ask you for a Whole Roasted Whitetip Shark Head. Below are the ingredients:

  • Whitetip Shark Head
  • Olive Oil

However, we are talking about catching a shark here; it bites back. Whitetip Sharks can be found in shallow waters and have to be fought as a boss. Usually, it will take at least five shots to down one. The best strategy to beat it is by baiting it for a charge attack and quickly swimming out of the way. It should provide you with a decent window for one shot.

Cook the meal for Yoshie and the Staff Menu will be unlocked. Do remember that all Dave The Diver Staff-related options including Transfer can only be accessed in Bancho’s Sushi at the bottom of your screen. From there, you can recruit Staff by placing three kinds of Ads:

Ad Cost
Flyer Ad 50 Coins
TV Ad 150 Coins
Internet Ad 400 Coins

Wait for an in-game day and then pick one that you consider the best and can afford from Yoshie. Once you have an employee, you will want to check up on them by pressing Spacebar on your keyboard. A menu will be opened, letting you check their details, train them, send them to collect materials, or do other stuff. Training them is important because at Level 5 you will a Special Recipe from them. Sending them off for cooking materials is also crucial to keep Bancho’s Sushi stock filled up. And that’s pretty much everything you need to know about Staff Menu and Transfer in Dave The Diver.
