Concerto Energy is the resource tied to Outro skills in Wuthering Waves. With how deep the combat is, it is normal for players to feel a bit overwhelmed. On top of the normal and heavy attacks, skills, and Forte Circuit, many concepts are unknown to gacha players. However, learning the ins and outs of each will make a huge difference in combat. So, buckle up because we’ll help you learn how to use these skills on the battlefield.
How To Get Concerto Energy in Wuthering Waves
By now, you might be asking yourself, “What in the name of gacha do all these icons on my UI mean?” We don’t blame you. Contrary to other gacha games, WuWa has quite a deep combat system that rewards those familiar with resource management and timed character swaps. The latter is crucial, and it is where Concerto Energy comes into play.
First, you need to familiarize yourself with the Concerto Gauge. You can find it at the bottom of your screen on the left side of your character’s HP bar. To fill it up, you must land normal and heavy attacks, as well as perform perfect dodges and parries. Once you fill-up the gauge, you’ll hear a sound queue and see that the characters on your team will get a radio wave-like effect behind their icons. This indicates the Outro skills can be triggered.
Triggering Outro Skills
Using the above image as reference, you can see my Rover’s Concerto Gauge is already full, thus allowing me to switch to another Resonator and trigger an Outro Skill. For example, if I switch my Rover out for another character, Rover would leave an area of stasis for the next character to join the fight. While you can swap your characters at any time in Wuthering Waves, I recommend waiting until your Concerto Energy is full. This will ensure the next character gets a buff instead of swapping normally without any boon for them.
Locating Intro and Outro Skills
While we’re focusing only on Concerto Energy and Outro Skills, we think it is important to tell you where to find them, especially because Wuthering Waves doesn’t make it too clear.
To find Intro Skills, head to the Resonator menu and scroll down until you reach the Forte menu. Here, you can see all your Resonator’s skills, the upgrade costs, and, most importantly, the descriptions.
For Outro Skills, head to the team menu, and at the top right corner, select “View Outro Skills” to inspect them. Each character has a specific Outro Skill, so try to memorize them before going into a fight and swapping Resonators around.
Frankly, I believe it is great that Wuthering Waves rewards swapping characters so much. While in other games, you just switch them whenever you need to heal or cast an Ultimate ability, here it’s another layer to the already intricate combat system. Watching the destruction unfold as you switch party members is fantastic, so make sure to time your swaps right to beat any enemy as fast as possible.
