Finding out the age of an anime character is difficult. Some look younger than their age, while others look way older. Zenless Zone Zero characters also have this same problem. While you can roughly guess some agents’ ages based on their mannerisms and outfits, several characters are more troublesome. Many players may have this pressing question when they think of the first featured limited-time character in ZZZ, Ellen Joe. While HoYoverse has not given a clear answer, we can guess Ellen’s age in Zenless Zone Zero based on her background story.
Ellen’s Real Age in ZZZ
Ellen Joe is a high school student, so it is safe to assume that her real age is 17 in Zenless Zone Zero. While we don’t learn much about her during the main missions, HoYoverse has shared some background stories about Ellen in her character trailers.
We can see Ellen hanging out with her classmates during the first half of her character demo. Despite her aloof acts while working, it is clear that the young woman is especially close to her three friends.
She always has low energy levels and never tries to do more than required. However, her friends manage to coax her to accompany them to visit various places.
Ellen is also quite a popular teenager in her high school in ZZZ. In her character teaser, we can hear the young woman’s achievements. She has broken the relay race school’s record, has a great singing voice, and has amazing combat skills.
The biggest mysteries surrounding Ellen are how and why she decides Victorian Housekeeping. It is also quite strange why Lycaon agrees to hire Ellen and Corin despite their young age. Perhaps it is simply because of their combat capabilities, but there could be other hidden reasons that may be related to their mysterious master.
