Cal Kestis can use a variety of techniques and stances, but which stance is the best in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor? Each stance has Cal hold his lightsaber differently, offering unique strikes and defensive styles to go into battle with. Some stances in Jedi: Survivor focuses more on speed, while other lightsaber stances rely on defense. The most useful stance in the game is usually determined by what suits your playstyle. However, there’s one specific stance that works for most game styles and is unquestionably the best of the five in the game.

Most of the Jedi: Survivor stances were carried over from Fallen Order. Jedi: Survivor did introduce two new stances, though – the Blaster Stance and the Crossguard stance. Crossguard is essentially a tank playstyle. Cal wields a heavy lightsaber and is extremely slow while in Crossguard.

However, attacks are strong in Crossguard, and your defenses are high in this stance. Crossguard is a perfect stance for players who love to deal plenty of damage and withstand most attacks. However, Crossguard isn’t the best stance in the game.

The Blaster Stance is the best stance in Jedi: Survivor. The Blaster Stance has Cal hold a blaster in one hand and a lightsaber in another. The blaster in Cal’s hand prevents him from throwing, but it makes up for it by being very versatile.

With the blaster, Cal can shoot enemies from afar, and he can still slice and stab foes with his lightsaber up close. The blaster can cause serious damage if you hold down the special attack button and have Cal charge the weapon to shoot a bolt at single enemies. There’s also great combo potential with the blaster and other Force powers.

How To Unlock the Blaster Stance?

You unlock nearly all the stances in Jedi: Survivor by playing through the game. The Blaster Stance unlocks after completing the Koboh – The Forest Array objective in the main story. After finishing that objective, you must head back to the Mantis to witness some story progression.

Before embarking on the next mission, Bode will hand Cal a blaster, unlocking the Blaster Stance. You can then equip the Blaster Stance at a Meditation Point. Like all other stances, the Blaster Stance has its own unique stance skill tree for you to unlock and upgrade.

Your blaster shots have limited ammo, but you can refill it by hitting enemies with Cal’s lightsaber. Using skill points, you can unlock perks in the skill tree that’ll allow you to charge the weapon more efficiently. You can equip two stances at a time and switch between them during battle. The Blaster Stance is a quick stance, so it’s better to have your second stance be more offensive, like Crossguard.
