This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

You can collect items known as stickers in Monopoly Go, and each sticker comes with an image and is ranked by five stars. The higher the star rank, the more valuable the sticker. A golden sticker, or a gold card, is one of the rarest stickers you can get in Monopoly Go. These collectibles are very hard to come by, requiring you to play for many hours. But do golden stickers serve a purpose in the game, or are they only for filling out your album?

The primary purpose of golden stickers in Monopoly Go is to fill out your sticker albums and gain game tokens. Nine unique stickers will make up a themed album in your inventory. You will earn prizes, including special tokens and currency, if you successfully fill in an album.

Tokens are the pieces you use to play on the Monopoly board. Filling out your golden sticker albums will reward you with gold game pieces. You start with a limited token set, but the more tokens you collect, the more token slots will unlock.

You gain golden stickers by playing Monopoly Go as normal, which is the same way you get the other stickers. You receive stickers by completing any of these objectives in the game:

  • Finishing Quick Wins
  • Progressing through Milestone Events
  • Come up on the top 3 in a Tournament
  • Spin the Color Set Wheel

The odds of getting a gold sticker are lower than the other stickers. It’s rarer to get a gold card with a high star rank.

You can also purchase golden sticker packs at the Monopoly Go store to obtain some valuable collectibles. You can access the store by tapping on your cash balance, the small stack of Monopoly money on your screen, or clicking on the store icon on the top left corner of the main screen. Sticker packs can also be earned the same way as normal stickers.

The type of sticker packs you can earn in the game that have golden stickers are below:

  • 1-star gold guaranteed
  • 2-star gold guaranteed
  • 3-star gold guaranteed
  • 4-star gold guaranteed
  • 5-star gold guaranteed

You can obtain multiple copies of the same golden sticker. The only way to trade your golden stickers is through Monopoly Go‘s Golden Blitze event. The event only lasts for a limited time, and you can only exchange two specific stickers the game offers. What you get in exchange is completely random, but you will get another golden sticker. However, you may get a gold card you already have.
